SCIENCE

This week students are working hard in their groups to finish up their end of unit science project on observable patterns from Earth.  If you are planning to attend student led conferences this week, you will see all of their work on display.  Our next unit of study after the break will be chemical reactions & properties of matter.  We will also mix in some fun STEM labs.

MATH

Our next math unit is measurement conversions.  We will address several of these concepts through scientific studies.  Also during 4th quarter the students will be introduced to numerical expressions (algebra) and geometry.

If you are able to make a classroom donation we could use some graphing paper and white board markers.  THANK YOU!

WRITING

We are only a couple of months out from the state testing.  As we prepare the students with the tools to be successful, we will continue to discuss opinion writing and informational writing.  Students are currently working on typing up  final drafts of their opinion papers.  It is important that students have practice typing their work as this is the format for the state test.  Final drafts will be due Thursday, March 5th.
